Welcome to Industry Liaison, Innovation Management, Intellectual Property, Technology Commercialization and Economic Development at Lakehead University.

The Economic Development and Innovation Office (EDIO) at Lakehead University supports liaison between industry and academia, facilitates industry collaboration, and is responsible for the management and commercialization of the University's intellectual property (licensing & start-up companies), and the handling of legal issues and all aspects of the protection, development, and marketing thereof. The EDIO acts as a liaison with administration, faculty members, students, private industry, investors, and government.  We work closely with the regions of Northwestern Ontario and Simcoe County to understand the needs of the regions and facilitate economic development.
