Lakehead University has been pleased to assist the following companies during their formation and initial stages of development.  The IMO's Start-Up Company program plans to continue assisting early-stage technology based businesses.

Genesis Genomics Inc.:  Genesis Genomics is developing a diagnostic tool for early-stage detection and diagnosis of various diseases and conditions, beginning with different cancers.  The company's operations are currently located in the Northwestern Ontario Technology Centre on the Lakehead University campus, with additional operations in Northern England.

Lake Superior Centre for Regenerative Medicine:  A Not-for-profit company created to foster organ and tissue donation in Northwestern Ontario.
